Meet our management team
Alan McClearn
Joint Managing Director / Head of Construction
Alan graduated from GMIT with a degree in Construction and Building Management. He spent 14 years with McInerney Homes and was responsible for the completion of many large-scale residential developments during this time.
As Head of Construction, he is responsible for the successful completion of each residential project.
Alan is an Executive Director of Dwellings.

Joint Managing Director / Chief Operations Officer
Jonathan has over 20 years’ experience in the real estate industry across many asset classes. He began his career with KPMG (Dublin & New York) where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and is currently a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland (FCA). He spent 14 years with Avestus Capital Partners (Quinlan Private) where he had responsibility for a large real estate portfolio. He then became CFO of Capital Assets and was responsible for the set up and implementation of their investment and underwriting platform.
He has extensive experience of deal origination, deal structuring, delivery of asset business plans and dealing with private equity partners to ensure there is close alignment of all parties through each stage of the investment life cycle.
Jonathan is an Executive Director of Dwellings.

Alan Cunniffe
Head of Planning & Commercial
Alan is an experienced Chartered Town Planner with residential and commercial experience spanning 20 years.
Alan has detailed working knowledge in preparing land use plans, major planning proposals and has worked collaboratively with national & regional bodies, local authorities, state agencies and the private sector. In his role as Regional Manager with an approved housing body, he has managed a number of high-profile acquisitions and leases.
As Head of Planning & Commercial, Alan and his team ensures that Dwellings deliver high quality residential projects with a clear focus on quality, in design, landscape and finish.

Senior Quantity Surveyor
Shane is our Senior Quantity Surveyor and is responsible for procurement, cost control, cost reporting and project delivery. He has over 20 years’ construction experience in Ireland and Australia, where he was involved in a wide range of projects in both the Professional and Contracting sides of Quantity Surveying.
Shane has a degree in Construction Economics and Management (Quantity Surveying), is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a Professional Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Senior Estimator
Robert is our in-house Estimator and is actively involved in all development appraisals, feasibility studies, and risk assessments on all potential sites under consideration. He also manages all Part V negotiations with the local councils.
Robert has over 25 years’ experience in the sector and has significant experience in preparing pre acquisition due diligence and costings reports for projects up to €250m along with completing competitive tender bids and estimates for these projects.

Cara Tomkins
Group Financial Controller
Cara is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and Certified Tax Advisor (CTI). She has gained valuable experience working in varied sectors including FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Hospitality and Construction.
Cara has extensive experience of management accounting, working with multiple accounting systems, setting up and optimising accounting functions and systems. She leads the Financial Reporting function working closely with our external auditors and tax advisors.

Head of Treasury
Hendri is a Chartered Accountant, having previously worked with EY Dublin. He focuses on deal origination, structuring, and execution. He works closely with the COO to optimise financial performance, dealing with all capital requirements for the group and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
Hendri has a deep understanding of financial operations, risk management, and strategic growth initiatives which he brings to bear effectively in his role.
